Cardfight!! Vanguard G Booster Pack Vol. 8: Absolute Judgment

With the sneak preview events and the release of G Booster Pack Vol. 8: Absolute Judgement just around the corner, here’s a quick peek at some of the cards that you can expect from this awesome new set! These cards will surely be a great addition to your deck.

One Steeped in Sin, Scharhrot

One Steeped in Sin, Scharhrot

Dark Irregulars

One Steeped in Sin, Scharhrot is a new evolution of Scharhrot Vampir with “Darkness” ability, which can be activated if you have cards put into your soul during this turn. When this card attacks, and if you pay the cost, you can put all of your rear-guards into your soul to give it an additional 10,000 power, as well as an added ability depending on the number of cards in your soul. If the number of cards in your soul is 10 or more, you can retire all of your opponent’s rear-guards. Furthermore, if the number of cards in your soul is 15 or more, your opponent cannot call cards with “Sentinel” ability from his/her hand to the guardian circle for that battle as well.

Genesis Dragon, Flageolet Messiah

Genesis Dragon, Flageolet Messiah

link Joker

Genesis Dragon, Flageolet Messiah is one of the many possibilities of Neon Messiah. When it attacks, for each face up Genesis Dragon, Flageolet Messiah in the G zone, you can choose up to two locked cards and unlock them. If one or more cards were unlocked, you will be able to choose any number of your opponent’s locked cards, and these cards cannot be unlocked until your opponent’s next end phase. It also has an additional critical if you unlock 3 or more cards by this effect. With this card alone, you can unlock your own units as well as locking down your opponent’s field.

Tempest-calling Pirate King, Gouache

Granblue

Tempest-calling Pirate King, Gouache can help to fuel up your drop zone by placing up to 5 cards from your soul to the drop zone. Then you can call that same number of cards from your drop zone to the rear-guard circle, and those units get an additional power boost for each face up card in your G zone. It definitely aids abilities that trigger when units are called from the drop zone, such as “Hollow” ability.

Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon

Gold Paladin

Golden Dragon, Glorious Reigning Dragon helps to reinforce your field with more allies. Within the top 7 cards from your deck, search for up to the same amount of cards as the number of face up cards in your G zone and call them to the field. When you call three or more cards, you can Counter-Charge 1 and Soul-Charge 1 as well.

Flower Princess of Balmy Breeze, Ilmatar

Flower Princess of Balmy Breeze, Ilmatar

Neo Nectar

Flower Princess of Balmy Breeze, Ilmatar can give decks with”Bloom” ability on focus a boost! After choosing one of your units with “Bloom” ability, you can draw a card and give up to 6 units with the same card name as the chosen unit, with an ability that lets you draw a card if its attack hits a vanguard. It will also get an additional critical if you have three or more units with “Bloom” ability. This G unit will definitely provide further pressure against your opponent!

Doting Harlequin, Maja

Doting Harlequin, Maja

Pale Moon

This is a new G guardian for any <<Pale Moon>> decks out there. If your vanguard possesses the “Magia” ability, this unit will not only get an additional shield of 5000, but you can also choose a unit from your soul and call it to the rear-guard circle. Even if you do not have a vanguard with “Magia” ability, you can still Soul-Charge 3, giving you a larger selection of units to call from your soul.

Blazing Sword, Fides

Blazing Sword, Fides

Royal Paladin

Blazing Sword, Fides is a great addition to any deck that has units with the “Brave” ability. It allows you to search a grade 2 unit from your deck and call it to rear-guard circle, and you can also draw a card if the unit that you called has the “Brave” ability. And that’s not all! It also gains the “Brave” ability that allows you to retire one of your opponent’s rear-guard, as well as powering up two of your units, as long as you have a copy of Blazing Sword, Fides in your G zone.

That wraps up today’s preview for this exciting new set. There is a clan that we have not featured in this article. I will be revealing more insights about it next week!

Meanwhile, before I close the column, check out this teaser video for Vanguard & Buddyfight Grand Festival in Los Angeles, USA next year!

Last and not least, in next week’s column, we will not only continue with the topic of G-BT08; we will also talk about an English-edition exclusive product, which we target to release it in January 2017! Stay tuned to us for the news and see you next week!
