To participate in the World Championship, you need to earn an invitation in the Continental Championships held in North America, Asia-Oceania, or Europe.

Cardfight!! Vanguard World Championship 2012

The best fighters in the world will gather in Tokyo to decide the World Champion of Cardfight!! Vanguard!

[Tournament Information]
These tournament information applies to all Qualifiers and Championship tournaments in the Cardfight!! Vanguard World Championship 2012.

Date	December 9, 2012
Venue	Tokyo, Japan – Tokyo Dome Hotel B1 “Cynthia” Banquet Hall
Eligibility	Only fighters with an invitation from the continental championships may participate.
Deck Regulations	All English version cards can be used. Cards of other languages may not be used. Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.
Tournament Structure	・3 rounds of swiss draw followed by Top 4 sinlge elimination. ・The top 4 fighters after the final round of swiss draw will advance to the single elimination rounds. ・The standing of fighters with the same record will be decided by opponent’s match win percentage. (i.e. fighters who played opponents with a better record will be ranked higher.) ・The swiss draw and single elimination rounds will be best 2 out of 3 games. ・1 round is 50 minutes.

Players participating in the qualifiers will receive an event exclusive World Championship 2012 Deck Case (while supplies last).

Cardfight!! Vanguard North American Championship 2012

The winner will be crowned the North American Champion of Cardfight!! Vanguard!

Championship Event Information

[North American Championship]

Date	November 04, 2012
Venue	Anaheim Convention Center, Los Angeles, USA
Eligibility	You will need to receive an invitation in the qualifiers to participate.
Deck Regulations	All English version cards can be used. Cards of other languages may not be used. Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Cards from Extra Booster “Banquet of Divas” cannot be used, because the set is only released in Singapore at that time.
Tournament Structure	・4 rounds of swiss draw followed by Top 4 single elimination. ・The top 4 fighters after the final round of swiss draw will advance to the single elimination rounds. ・The standing of fighters with the same record will be decided by opponent’s match win percentage. (i.e. fighters who played opponents with a better record will be ranked higher.) ・The swiss draw and single elimination rounds will be best 2 out of 3 . ・1 round is 50 minutes.
Prize	Top 4 finishers will receive an invitation to the World Championship in Tokyo, Japan. Travel fees will be provided. Minors will need confirmation from a parent or guardian to earn the invitation to travel. *Updated as of 28 August 2012

[Side Event - Team Tournament]

Registration Time	10:00 – 10:30 am
Entry Fee	None
Deck Regulations	・All English version cards can be used. Cards of other languages may not be used. ・Decks must be constructed with a single clan. There cannot be cards from multiple clans in a deck. ・Each team member must use a different clan than his or her teammates. ・Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.
Team Regulation	3 fighters per team. The staff will group fighters who wish to participate in the Team tournament, but do not have enough teammates.
Tournament Structure	・Double Elimination (Teams to lose 2 matches will be eliminated) ・Each member will fight 1 game against an opposing team member. ・The team to win more games than the opposing team wins the match. ・1 round is 20 minutes. ・The tournament will continue until there is only one undefeated team.
Participation Prize	Guardian of the Skies, Night Griffon (PR/0004EN)
Prize	The first place team will receive a Cardfight!! Vanguard binder. Teams with 1 or less losses will receive an additional Guardian of the Skies, Night Griffon (PR/0004EN).

[Side Event - Free Fight]

Time	2:00 – 4:00 pm
Entry Fee	None
Deck Regulations	All English version cards can be used. Cards of other languages may not be used.
Tournament Structure	Free Fight is a format to play simply for fun without competition. Participants can go in and out freely during the Free Fight time. Fighters will be randomly matched against a new opponent after each match.
Prize	All fighters participating in 2 or more matches will receive one Scale Dragon of the Magma Cave (PR/0003EN). All fighters participating in 4 or more matches will receive one Exile Dragon (PR/0006EN).
